assalamualaikum,
alhamdulillah we have reached the middle of ramadhan, it is a blessing from Allah we are able to fast. Ramadhan is full with fadhilat and you can also gain pahala easily. as a reminder to me and to you all, please take full advantage of the Holy month of Ramadhan because wallahuakhlam it might be your last one.
as a muslim we shud be really happy and celebrate ramadhan more than syawal. it is sad to see that especially in Malay countries where hari raya is celebrated bigger than ramadhan. what is sad is that we tend to spend more on unnecessary things in ramadhan for hari raya. buying new furnitures, more than one baju kurung... u know what i mean. as if our religion is teaching us to be materialistic. not only this, hari raya songs are like everywhere.. and this was the 2nd day of ramadhan.
once i was told by my MALAY teacher i think when i was in my primary 6, he told about life in Ramadhan during the old days. he said during the day.. every masjid will read the Quran on the speaker for the daylight and from this u can imagine u can hear Quran recital everywhere.. MasyaAllah.. but now you can only hear terawih which is only during the night. and this is like the whole of ramadhan. but now it is just sad really sad...
i would like the tradition to continue... atleast we will not hear music that will give headaches and lovy duvy stuff.. yucks.. that makes us forgot about Allah.

ramadhan and solat
assalamualaikum,
alhamdulillah, we meet again our favourite month of the year a long awaited month and missed ramadhan. i feel great masyaAllah that i am going to fast and meeting ramadhan again. i hope this ramadhan we all will be blessed and protected by Allah subhanahu wataala.
brunei is a country of peace. living abroad has made me think differently about our my country. we are very lucky that we are able to practice islam freely and so do other religion. i mean other countries they are free but sometimes its hard.
for example doing the solat, in Brunei we have masjids all over the place and so we have no reasons to miss solat. and it is kinda hard for u not to forget also... i mean since masjids are everywhere, you can basically here the adhan. even the malls have surau or prayer room.
whereas like other countries especially muslims are still one of the minorities, it is kinda hard to do your solat. sometimes you have to do in public not in a closed area... but all of these do not matter at all because Allah owns the world.
i believe the phrase when there is a will there is a way... i have listen or someone i know will have reasons to miss solat... such as dirty, not used to the place or busy and etc. and then they will say they will just qadha it....
sorry... but i think and i learned that qadha is when u forgot i mean you do not remember or maybe u felt asleep .. then you can qadha.. but i do not see any reasons that was listed above somehow the same or related. please correct me if i am wrong... but this is was i learned from my religious school.
since this is the month of ramadhan, where all the muslims are going to fast insyaAllah... and fasting is the third in the five pillar of islam (rukun islam). it comes after solat... so it means your solat comes before your puasa.
wassalam
